The Monday before Thanksgiving (11/22) was a very eventful in day in Riley's life. First let me preface this that daylight savings and my baby girl do NOT go well together. Since daylights savings, she has been getting up at 6am then 5am and then the dreaded 4am. That would not be so bad if daylight savings time wasn't two full weeks ago and she still hadn't adjusted. Now I know the meaning of drastic times call for drastic measures! We pumped her full of milk before her bedtime and also decided to stop swaddling. Around 1am, she starts crying. I go in there and she has a full diaper (from all the milk), so I change her and she falls asleep on the changing pad! I don't dare move her for fear of waking her up, so I put the changing pad on the ground and leave her on it! She slept soundly until we woke her up around 7:30 this morning. It was great! However, we don't know what did the trick. Was it the extra milk, not swaddling, or sleeping on the changing pad?? Not sure but will definitely continue the extra milk and not swaddling!
In other news, Riley rolled over from back to tummy on the same day. Since then she has done it 5 or 6 more times. Each time she is super surprised that she did it! She just amazes herself.
Riley is just full of smiles and giggles. I am continually thankful for her sweet little disposition even when I am one tired momma (and short on patience). Thankfully my mom has stepped in before I go crazy!!
We started on bumbo time. If I keep her in the bumbo for too long, she starts doing some major slouching and tends to spit up a lot. So we are keeping it to a few minutes a day!
What are you staring at?

So cute!!! Miss you guys!
