Our little girl is turning into an oinker! She is routinely downing about 12 ounces of formula/breastmilk for her last feeding of the day. I'm not complaining because it is carrying her into oblivion upon which she becomes conscious around 7:45am! Since she is eating so much we decided to start rice cereal. Oh what to say about rice cereal...It appears as if she is eating it but only because the amount in the bowl is decreasing but I'm not sure if that is because she has cereal in her hands, all over her mouth, on her bib and on the paper towel I use to occassionally wipe her face off! At least she is getting used to a spoon. My mom says that alot of practice needs to go into spoon methodology and how to do it right! And in case you were wondering, the amount of formula she needs at night has not decreased (so maybe that is an indicator that not much rice cereal is going down the tube). Either way, our little girl is growing up! Here is a before and after shot!
I'm so clean and happy to be sitting in my high chair!
Well, that was fun! Can we do this again sometime soon? Except maybe next time, can you add some more taste to this weird substance you insist on sticking in my mouth?
Her hand it out in this photo and it makes me think she is saying "Ta Da, I ate my first real people food!"

ReplyDeleteI love the way she smiles all the way up to her eyes? By the way, are you sure you're using a spoon?
ReplyDeleteHaha! Oh the joys of rice cereal! After Daniel I never even bothered wiping the face...just scooped off what I could with the spoon and always ended with a much needed bath! Enjoy every moment! It goes by so fast!!!
