Caden at 5 months

This month Caden had some eventful moments. He learned how to roll over and that has thrown all sleep by the wayside. Riley loved sleeping on her tummy but Cade just screams and screams until we go in and roll him over. Hopefully he will get the hang of it soon.

Riley got a mild case of croup and then passed it onto Cade and he got a nasty little cough. This kept him up at nights also! All in all, I am one tired momma.

The Cadester loves to cuddle and is a champion thumb sucker. He feels the need to exert his powerful lungs at the beginning of every nap for 5 minutes or so but then drifts off to sleep mid cry. I am still nursing him at each feeding and the last feeding of the day, we add in a little formula to fill up his tummy. He is a big boy with lots of rolls of fat!

He eats about 5 times a day depending on when he wakes up. He spends most of his wake-time in the bumbo or activity mat. He is NOT a fan of tummy time and cries and cries (to the point of getting a runny nose) if you leave him there. He is a huge fan of his sister! She gives him so many hugs and kisses each day. She routinely will come up when I am holding him and give us all one big hug and say "I love you guys"!

Naps are sometimes great and sometimes terrible. I just try to keep it in perspective and not let it dictate my day!

Sometime during the month, we started not swaddling his arms. He loves the freedom!

Cuddle time with Daddy. One of Riley's favorite times is getting to cuddle with Daddy on the couch and watch soccer ball!
