Riley is starting to get an opinion about things so I thought I would list out some of them!
Favorite food = strawberry strawberry (yes she always says this twice) or popcorn
Favorite song = me song (i.e. ABC song) or the Riley song (a sweet song that Lolly wrote for her that goes to Twinkle Twinkle)
Favorite outfit = ANY pretty dress but especially her Cinderella dress. Riley really catches people off guard because she is all pretty in a dress and then will go and tackle another child!
Favorite movie = Cinderella. As a special treat while I nurse Cade, she gets to watch Cinderella!
Favorite moment during Cinderella = the part where Cinderella's dress gets ripped to shreds by the stepsisters and they say "that's my sash", "that's my bow". Isn't that just the oddest part ever??
Favorite TV show = doc mcstuffins (why she does constant checkups on every person in our house). Currently when she holds the stethoscope to any part of your body she says "take a deep breath for me."!
Favorite activity = play doh or dancing to any and every song. She especially loves singing and dancing to "Once Upon a Dream" from Sleeping Beauty
Favorite drink = milk. I actually have to threaten to take it away to help her make good choices. Crazy girl!
Favorite saying = her Pops just taught her a new phrase..."that's my stinkin' dot"! She is starting to repeat everything we say which is just so precious and a little scary! A few days ago, I had two scary moments that involved a cockroach and our house alarm going off and may or may not have emitted a four letter word that starts with S! I am thankful that Riley was NOT present for either of those accidents. Maybe I should try to take up another word for when I am super super scared?!
Yesterday she was playing with her Minnie Mouse doll that has a bow, dress, and shoes that you can take on and off. I heard her getting a little frustrated with Minnie's bow. The next thing I know, she looks Minnie in the eye and says "if your bow comes off one more time, it's time-out for you"! Apparently Minnie was not able to behave herself and she was put in time-out for a while. How hilarious!!
A few weeks ago, LA and Riley were trying to nap in the same bed. When we (really LA) decided that wasn't working, Riley was put into a pack 'n play. She started saying "no momma, I not a baby". I told her that she was a big girl but she needed to nap here. Fast forward about 10 minutes, I heard a loud sound which I assumed was something outside and then Riley strolled out of the room. Apparently she is DONE with pack 'n plays and I believe her now. I still have no idea what exactly happened but suffice it to say that when we are short a bed, I will just put her nap mat on the ground and let her sleep there!
Riley's first day of school
In her big girl bed. Look at her beautiful hair! We officially transitioned her to her big girl bed a few days before Cade's arrival and she has done great.
Cuddle time with Daddy!
Riley sharing her dot with Cade.
Riley was mesmerized with nursing and was trying to show me how to put on the nursing pad!
Digging out pumpkin guts with Nana!
I love this sweet pic of Riley!

Suggestion for not-swear word: CURSES!
ReplyDeleteAs you may recall, it is from Peter Pan, and is only part of a phrase that always made me howl with laughter: "CURSES, foiled again!!"
