AVID Surprise Baby Shower

Ben has been working at AVID for a full year now, and he works with a really great bunch of people. Two weeks ago I got a call about them wanting to throw Ben a surprise baby shower party. Ben has this theory that he is all-knowing about these type of things. So imagine his surprise when we showed up at his co-worker's house for a little "get together" and thirty people shouted "Happy baby shower"! He was in shock and later voiced that a) he did not believe that I knew about the surprise ahead of time and b) he felt "manipulated and used" because everyone knew about it except him. But he had a great time!  I love surprises and have a firm belief that everyone needs to have a surprise party at least once in their life. My parents threw me one for my 16th birthday and this is now Ben's second one (the first one was thrown by Kelli and the tennis kids). So I am now able to check that off my life list for him!

We got some great clothes and accessories for baby girl and the big gift was a video monitor! We are really getting close to have things ready for her. Well...except for the fact that if you look at her nursery it has no furniture in it! We have ordered the crib and it should arrive in the next week or so.
