Ben finally convinced me that we should do a complete kitchen remodel before we added kids to the mix. After taking several months of convincing, I finally agreed. We decided that we would be the general contractor for the project and oversee it all. Ben was in chage of all the demolition and only managed to hurt himself once or twice. We got all new cabinets, granite countertops, new wood floor, and some new appliances, plus we tore down a wall to make the living room and kitchen connect! I had heard horror stories of how long kitchen remodels can take and we were quite pleased when ours took one month exactly!
Below are the before and after pictures. Hopefully I don't need to point out which are pictures are the "before" ones!
Oh yes, and lest you think we can live without a backsplash, we most certainly can NOT. We put the blacksplask in ourselves after this picture was taken. You can see the backsplash in the earlier belly pictures post.
