Swimming: a love/hate relationship

I assumed Riley would be fearless around water just like she was last summer. Oh boy was I wrong! This girl refused to get in the water unless her daddy was right there with her. She was very tentative and with a little babe in tow I couldn't give her the time and attention she required. So, we signed her up for swim lessons because we thought maybe that would do the trick. The weekend before lessons started, we went to a swim party with her best bud Brendan. He is a total fish and loves the water. Once Riley saw how much fun Brendan was having without her, she decided to forget about being scared of the water and go have some fun! It was incredible to see her go from crying about the water to jumping off the side and splashing. Oh this girl!

We went to swim lessons anyway and had a great time! :)

This girl loves her daddy. He is able to challenge her and work with her in a way that I never can. He is an amazing teacher!
