One small step for baby-kind

Riley loves spends most of her waking hours circumnavigating our coffee table, so we have been trying to convince her to take a few unassisted steps. She usually will just squat on the ground if you let go of her hands. So imagine our surprise when she took 3 steps by herself on Wednesday night! We shouted, we clapped, we did it all! Since then she has absolutely refused to take any more steps by herself. We have gone back and forth about if those should be her "official" first steps. I think it should count, but Ben is against it. He is from the school of belief that if she can't repeat it, it doesn't count (something about the Scientific method?!?). My mom quipped "well do you expect her to get up and walk to Oklahoma?". The lady does have a point there!
