2 months already?

We went to Riley's 2 month appointment last Thursday! She weights 9 lbs 3 oz (15th percentile) and is 50th percentile for both her length and head circumference. It is so fun to watch her grow. Riley now officially weights what my friend's baby weighed when he was born. WOW! She also got three shots and was the most pain she has ever felt in her little life! She tried to cry during the shots but her face turned bright red and no sound came out for a few seconds. She surprised me and calmed down very quickly after the shots! The funniest part was that her little thighs were covered in band-aids.

The next day, Ben took off work and we planned for an exciting day. We went to the Arboreteum in the morning and strolled around. The pumpkin houses were packed out so we stayed away from there. We only were able to take a few pictures of Riley because it was during her nap time. We did manage to snap my most favorite picture of Riley EVER! See what you think!

After that, we went to close on refinancing our house. I just swaddled her up and laid her in the chair next to me! She is still so portable. Then we came home and napped (me included). Next we headed to the Richardson High School Homecoming parade to see Ben's kids. Then we left Riley with my parents and headed to the RHS football game! All that to say, we had a BUSY, BUSY day! I have heard that babies who get overstimulated or overtired tend to be extra fussy. Well, we must have worn that poor child out because she slept in until 7:30 the next morning and then took a two and a half hour nap! I couldn't believe it.
