Her doc was pleased that she is flattening out on growth curve and learning to self-regulate her eating habits. She also said to expect her to become a picky eater as all toddlers go through that phase. Currently she eats it all. The other day she ate an entire green dinner! An entire avocado, broccoli, green beans. My brother hated any and all green veggies so I called my mom in amazement and we oowed and aahed over it. Isn't that what moms are for? I can't imagine calling my dad to report that kind of news! Knowing my dad, he would feign interest and then promptly forgot the conversation entirely. Wait, maybe that's just MY dad that would do that!
We were on the bandwagon to transition to one nap and just couldn't seem to handle it. She caught a cold and it was back to two good naps and I'm not arguing with that!
Riley's is learning more and more words each day. It is so incredible to see how much she picks up. She currently says moma, dada, izzzzzzy, shoe, all done, me (for more), moo, baa, neigh.
The other morning, I was standing in the kitchen and saw Riley sit down next to Izzy on Izzy's bed. Riley then reached out and patted Izzy and then gave her a full-out hug. It brought tears to my eyes. Such a sweet moment. Riley routinely calls out for Izzy as soon as we say good morning! I love that they are really starting to play with each other.
The other day Riley decided that she needed some extra help on a step, so she promptly grabbed my nose! I mean, fingers UP MY NOSE for support. It was hilarious and I was in too much shock to do anything about it. Who does that???
