First Day of School!

This past Tuesday, Riley went to her first day of school (Mother's Day out). Here is a picture of her just before we left. Please notice that she does have the cutest shoes in her class.

Learning point: If you can fit yourself inside of the backpack, it's probably a little too big for you.

So much energy went in to getting Riley ready for school that by the time I dropped her off, I was exhausted! That may have been because I finished the nap mat at 9pm the night before.

The school goes from 9am to 2:30pm. Riley did great. I imagine she just stared at the chaos going on around her. She even managed to sleep for about 30 minutes at school. When I got her home, she a) smelled different and b) was a little delirious and kept doing a little giggle. The teacher didn't explicitly say it, but I think it's safe to say that Riley is well on her way to being valedictorian of her class.

While she was at school, I was super productive and got rooms cleaned and hours billed for work! Overall, a successful day for both of us. Here's to a great school year!!
